Our routes and tracks are always with GPX file and Roadbook. We use the Garmin Tread 2 and the Garmin Apps Tread and Explore which are free to download on the Garmin Website. For the Electronic Roadbook we use Rally Navigator. For each day event, we charge € 25 per vehicle, which includes driver and navigator, GPX file and Roadbook.
We of course incur many costs (vehicle, equipment, reconnaissance, etc.) for our great hobby and with those € 25 we can partially cover these costs.
Meanings:
SxS (Side-by-Side): This refers to the seating arrangement. Unlike an ATV (quad), the driver and passenger sit next to each other instead of behind each other.
Buggy: The term "buggy" is often used for the sporty SxS models, due to their appearance and design that resembles that of traditional dune buggies.
Powersport: The term "powersport" emphasizes that these vehicles are part of the off-road recreational sport. They are used for sporting activities such as racing, touring and off-road driving.
Purchase navigation equipment:
Garmin Tread 2 SxS: This is (still) not available in the Netherlands, only the old version is. In the US, this has been in use for over half a year.
We import this from the US and costs, including import/shipping/customs costs, $ 1439,-.
